What we collect

Schools Near Me publishes data already in the public domain — Education Counts directory data, ERO reports, audited school financials filed with the Ministry of Education, NZ Gazette notices, and information published on each school's own website. We do not collect personal information about students, parents or whānau.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-510Y8Q6JD1) to understand which pages people read. We do not run advertising trackers. Outbound clicks to a school's website, phone or email are tracked via our /go redirect so we can show schools how many enquiries Schools Near Me referred.

School claim flow

If you are a school principal or board member and claim your school page, we collect your name, role and email solely to verify the claim. We do not share these details with third parties.

Your rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction, and complain to the Privacy Commissioner. Contact us at hello@schoolsnearme.co.nz.
