- Kaiako provide engaging and challenging lessons with well-established routines; tamariki display comfort and confidence to try new things; individualised plans support tama ariki with learning challenges
- Significant improvement in literacy shown with several tamariki working at or above kura expectations; progress and achievement in literacy and mathematics reported twice yearly to whānau
- Urgent compliance gaps exist: emergency evacuation drills have been inconsistent, kaiako and kaimahi have not undertaken physical restraint training, and there is little known about safety checking of employees and others on the kura site
- Governance and administrative documentation do not reflect the special character of the school; trustees need to establish a permanent tumuaki and develop a new strategic plan with community engagement
